“Fields of Gold”

image_pdfimage_print

My favorite volunteering experiences in the dirt began in 2010 when I had more time to learn about things that I was passionate about with an overabundance of free time. I tend to pile up tasks and priorities because it helps me balance life. One might say that I’m an overachiever, always trying to learn more and get my foothold in something new however I appreciate downtime too and “laid back” gardening as the Irish call it.  I’m passionate about understanding things that bring me joy. Any opportunity to gain insight and experience is a way for me to add another rock to step on while crossing the river of becoming more efficient and sustainable on my journey. I recommend the following organic farms in Central Texas where you can volunteer too! May your adventures be prosperous and hearty(hardy)! -Kristin

The title of this page is in reference to Sting’s, Fields of Gold song. In addition to getting my hands dirty while exploring Mother Earth, I am also a whimsical musician having melodies run through my head every day. This song is one of my favorites and one I wanted to tie into this piece…among the fields of gold…
